The Mental Health Support Team in schools have rescheduled their Supporter’s Forum to Tuesday 19th November 2024 at 6pm and would like to invite any parent/carers/supporters of children and young people in your school to join us online. They would love to hear their voices about what you would like from the service, and for your voices to be a part of shaping the service moving forwards.
It is World Mental Health Day on October 10th, 2024.
This year the theme is 'It is time to prioritise mental health in the workplace.'
To recognise this in school, we will be reminding the children of the strategies that they can use to keep themselves calm and in the best place for learning. These include the techniques listed on our school wellbeing hub.
As a reminder each child will be given a green wristband, which represents the Federation of World Mental Health. Please ask them about it and see what they can share with you.
BBC Bitesize Parents Toolkit is an online resource that offers information and advice to support your child in a changing world. Articles include; settling into a new school routine, school refusal , managing after school meltdowns and many more.
We are thrilled that we have once again been awarded the GOLD School Games Mark for 2023-24!

Mental Health Awareness Week 2024 will take place from 13th-19th May, on the theme of ‘Movement’ - Moving for our mental health.
Being active is so important for our mental health, and to recognise this the children will be taking part in a range of activities across the week that get them moving.
We are also turning our school green for a day to support and match the colours of Mental Health Awareness, see our school newsletter for more details.

From 5-11 February 2024 it is Childrens Mental Health Week. This year's theme is ‘My Voice Matters’. The focus is to empower, equip and give a voice to every child in the UK. We are planning a range of activities in school that allow the children to share their thoughts and ideas, give time to express themselves, and celebrate what makes them unique.
Year 4 will be receiving a visit from the Mental Health Support Team who will be delivering a presentation on anxieties around friendships and social interactions.
Please see below the Friends Newsletter with dates for upcoming events in the Spring and Summer term.
We have added a new Mental Health directory to our Wellbeing Hub. This is a comprehensive list of support contacts and resources, covering a wide range of subjects that can impact family life.
